Welcome to the forum, the radio in your car has no connection to the sat nav device so its not relevant, to receive RDS-TMC data on the 530 you need to purchase the optional RDS-TMC receiver and plug this in to your 530.
Whether this is worth bothering with is a rather mute point point as reception in the UK is still problematic in some areas, then when you get a good signal (often by splicing the receiver to the car aerial) the data is rather suspect.
I would treat any form of traffic data as a gimick as it simply isn't good enough to rely upon, nice when it works but thats only 5% of the time - I don't trust it any longer be it HD, RDS or GPRS - Mike |
