|

I have downloaded the Tesco store locator on to my POI loader but when I try to install it to my Garmin 350 series I get the message:-
There are no data files in that directory. Please specily a directory that contains at least one file with a .csv or .gpx extension.
What am I doing wrong? |

Hi and welcome.
Have you unzipped the downloads contents? You need to get the CSV and BMP files out of the download and upload those.
Right click the Garmin.zip file and see if you have an option to extract the files... |

Thanks for that but;-
It doesn't need unzipping it is a GPI file. The message that comes up is :-
Please specify a directory that contains at least one file a .csv or .gpx extension. |

Ah right the download i found was a ZIP file.
If it's a GPI file just copy it directly to the Garmin/poi folder of your Nuvi using Windows Explorer. You don't need to use POILoader. |

Is this a file from this sites POI set? If it is then it will be downloaded as a compressed archive (.zip). Contained within this archive will be the csv file you require.
If you have got it elsewhere then as POI loader is saying it requires a csv or gpx format file to transfer it to your device. I notice that the Tesco supplied file from their website also provides the necessary csv and bmp files
I've never used gpx files so I can't be much use there, all I can suggest is using either of the sources I mentioned above |
