Hi, I knew I shouldn't have fiddled with it! I downloaded the IQ version of the UK & Ireland map yesterday, costing me around £50, and now although it shows up on the pc as if it's on the device, the device itself tells me that there are no maps available. Help!

What application version is installed on your unit? (tap the satellite bars to see the version number. You need 8.3x or higher to make use of maps 8.10 with IQ routing and 8.15 or higher with IQ2 routing).

Also, when you dl the map, did it go through an install process? Use Explorer to see the contents of your spefic map folder on your unit. Look for a text file ending in (yourmap).pna. Use notepad to see the contents. What map version is showing?

Finally, try a pin reset.

Hi, thanks for your reply.
The application version is: 8.010

In the .pna file the build is 1703.

From what you say the application version that I have will not support this IQ version. I had to roll back to this application version a few months ago as the voices became corrupt. I'm unsure about updating it again as I don't want to risk corrupting it again. It looks like I may have to go back to Tomtom and ask for a refund..

Application 8.302 has proven to be 99.999% reliable in fixing voice issues from eaarlier applications. You may want to give it a shot.

Before you do, make a complete Explorer backup of your unit's contents. And (sorry, Andy ....) please ensure hidden folders and files are showing.

Then go for the update.
