If the seller sold it to you with a password set it's probably nicked. |

Yup, that's right. Take it to the police - you've lost your money and presumably no way you can get back to the seller, they might be able to re-unite it with its rightful owner. _________________ Dennis

Might be worth contacting the Police too. They might come with you... |

Caveat emptor - Buyer Beware?
Ouch! not a happy outcome to find the device did'nt work. If you paid a sensible price, then maybe not a great loss?
If the Seller is there on Sunday, be nice and ask for the password.
If the password is supplied, then you should be able to enter it there in front off them, if the device starts, then you have a deal.
If it doesnt then you`ll need to ask for a refund, again. if he pays, deal.
If he supplies a password and you cant use it till you get home, GET THE GUYS REGISTRATION INDEX of his vehicle. If the goods are stolen, then he will be an accessory to handling stolen goods, as sugested.
I hope you have a satifactory outcome. maybe also try another weekend too, incase he's sick or working or whatever. _________________ Device:TOMTOM START 52 & SNOOPER 3ZERO

@Rayrayy0.
Run a search for the serial number in the stolen threads, see if anything turns up. |

The seller could have bought it at a previous carboot to sell on, if he is an accessory then so is rayrayy0. It could also be the case that the seller simply refuses to admit it was bought from him, unless he supplied some kind of receipt or you can prove he sold it to you then he may well just walk away, caveat emptor entirely. |

I agree, and the list of possibilities goes on and on. Its the risk you take. A lesson learnt maybe. Lets hope the chap comes back a happy man. What are the odds? _________________ Device:TOMTOM START 52 & SNOOPER 3ZERO
