I have connected my Etrex legend to an HP IPAQ2210 running TomTom 3. I used a special cable from PC-Mobile. The Tom Tom software asks me which port it is connected on but whatever I try it fails to recognise. A searc hof some internet Groups suggested COM 4 - but only Serial Cable on COM1, Serial on USb, Com 3 or COM 6 appear as relevant options.

Can anyone advise me please? Thanks.

COM 1 is your only choice.
