I purchased and downloaded nuMaps Lifetime Europe for my Nuvi 310. Does the install process update MapSource on my PC as well as the maps on the device?
I ask as the UK maps are located on the Nuvi but the Europe maps are loaded onto the SD card using MapSource.
Also in Map Info on the Nuvi I now see both City Navigator Europe NT 9 and City Navigator Europe NT 2009. I unticked NT 9 but does this mean I now have two versions of the map in there or might this in fact be the extra map data on the SD card? |

Re your MapSource question, why not try it now that you've done the download.
Certainly my own ancient copy of MapSource on the PC was updated with a new extra set of maps, when I downloaded the european mapping update for my nuvi 255WT.

I removed Mapsource from my PC before running the map update. The latest version of Mapsource had loaded with the latest map at the end of the update process. |

Thanks for all the replies. As others had said, I did find that MapSource had been updated with the latest maps. The reason I asked is I was worried only the built in maps would be updated by the nuMaps.
Now all I have to deal with is the slightly crazy routing choices 2009 has brought. I'll start another thread about that! |
