Hi Can anyone help my next door neighbour, he has just called round with a brand new TT one XL, the problem is it won't start up,I've pressed the reset button (that turns it off).If I press the start button you get the drum roll and then a screen, it looks like a view from the inside of a car (in colour) and thats it no more it just sits there, the only way to turn it off is to press the reset button. Is it worth messing with or should it go back to Halfords. |

May sound obvious, but is it fully charged?
Tomtoms will use power even when turned off until they run out. Its to keep the time etc stored in memory! _________________ Tomtom GO 1005 LIVE

Yes, the USB cable will charge the unit.
EDIT - just make sure that TT Home isnt running in the tray, bottom right of screen in windows! Then leave it for a few mins, and try starting it up! _________________ Tomtom GO 1005 LIVE
