Hi and welcome.
Please don't post the same question multiple times as it splits up and duplicates information. I've removed the other thread.
I'm guessing this is for a Garmin?
You can do it with POILoader by choosing Manual Mode on the third screen. You can then set a distance or speed for each POI file you are loading. |

Hi Paul,
I am using Poi Loader and have Garmin Nuvi 660. I have already tried to do your method. I have chosen manual mode but if you do not want an alert on a specific poi it refuses all poi files (in the folder). So this method is not suitable.
I have downloaded PoiEdit 2007 and i could not see any data about editing or creating "alert information". I have opened a csv poi file in excell which has allready have alert information but could not see any data about alert information either. The poi files on my nuvi which i have downloaded from this site that i can see some of them the alert information. The only thing is i want to edit some of alert information and add new alert information some of them but havent succeeded. Any help? Thanks in advance |

I'm not clear on what you are saying here. Are you trying to set up alerts for selected POIs within a POI file?
Open POILoader and click Help at the bottom right of the screen. Read the section called "Understanding Speed and Proximity Alert Information" and come back if you have any questions. |

What are you trying to do-change the proximity-change the speed/overspeed.
What database are you working from-zoned etc? _________________ Garmin Oregon 300 + Garmin iQue 3600
