Hi
I recently updated the map and in doing so my favourites were removed.
I have a back up of the system of how it was prior to the map date, is there any way to put my favourites back.
Also, it appears on updating the map my Pocket GPS camera warning were removed and I had to go through them all putting them back in the correct order, does that always happen with a new map?
Thanks

Martin, have a read of FAQ #15 which is linked from This Page, whilst it mentions different hardware it will resolve the issue you have.
The Favourites and custom POI settings are all stored in a file called "MapSettings.cfg" within the map folder, quite often you can copy this file from an old back up to the new map folder following an update, this recent update dosn't allow this to work so you have to convert them to POI locations instead. Once you have done this only use the favourites as a temporary location store, keep harvesting your locations in to a single POI category. You can have thousands of locations stored under a single category (Unlike the 48 locations in Favourites) and you can add phone numbers to each location if you want to - Mike |

Thanks for the reply, worked a treat.
I have not usd POI Edit before, I will explore it some more over the weekend.
At least I know what to do in the future.
Thanks

For the second update in a row - this has become annoying. Anyway, best method for the future is to save your favourites to a personal poi category which map updates to not overwrite. _________________ Henry |
