Does anyone know of a GPS golf application you can run on a TT? Like stand alone or gps mobile phone versions I'd like it to tell distance to green, to hazards etc and maybe have a google/MS map overlay? Oh, and it'll need to run an Navcore v8 Rolling Eyes

I have never seen an application for doing this on a TomTom unit, also the Software Development Kit (SDK) needed to actually create third party applications to run on the TomTom has been dropped. There are quite a few decent third party applications that people have written for the TomTom units that no longer work, and without the SDK there is very little hope for any new code being written.

There are plenty of GPS related applications for Golf that will run on a PDA, have you considered a cheap PDA and Bluetooth GPS receiver, or even a PDA with integral GPS - this will probably be your only method to achieve what you want. If you want Google Earth overlays then also think about a PDA based mobile phone with integral GPS as these can use the phones data connection to receive the required image files over the air - Mike

Mike, thanks for the reply. It was a long shot, just hopeful a GPs solution may be available on my TT. I think I'll bite the bullit and buy an iphone and get free caddie on it as that works well. I've been putting it off in anticipation of the rumoured iphone nano!
