Problems with Pocket Streets

I have Tomtom loaded and working on my iPaq 2210 with a Sysonchip GPS card. For some reason the card "defaults" from Com7 to Com 1 - but it works so I won't complain.

The problem that I have is that I have now loaded Pocket Streets as I want to use this on holiday in Spain. When I select "GPS" in Pocket Streets and configure Port 1 (port 7 is not the default on my iPaq) it doesn't turn the GPS card on so I don't get a signal. The only options for tunring on the card are :-
a) Use the Sysonchip tool. When I select this I can use Port 1 and view the nav' info / sat map. However when I then select Pocket Streets the post I need (ie Port 1) isn't available from the list or if it does come up there is no data on this port. There are no other ports in the available list theat work either, or
b) Use the GPS tool. Pocket Streets doesn't appear in the long list of software in the drop down list (tomtom is there, as are loads of others).

I don't quite understand how I'm meant to configure it to feed the GPS info from the Sysonchip into Pocket Streets......
