2 things
1) Anyone know how long the authorities are, supposedly, testing these for?
2) They do not seem to appear on any of the PGPSW databases, although theyve been there for some time now. |

That's because they are not live cameras _________________ Darren Griffin |

Shouldnt they be live if theyre 'testing'?
But if theyre 'dummies' then theyre very good as it certainly slows everyone down, but ends up causing massive queues!! |

We only ever record cameras that are working i.e. the ones that can result in a fine.
If/when these move from test to live we will activate them but until then it's a no _________________ Darren Griffin |

I have noticed that the yellow information signs saying that these cameras are only on test and that no enforcement is taking place have been removed and statutory camera signs have been put up.
Does this mean they are now 'live' ? |

There was also a new SPECS camera added on the southern approach to the tunnel over Thursday/Friday. I noticed this happening on my way into the Office on Friday.
I've submitted it for verification.
Certainly hope these SPECS aren't live as I'll probably be due some hefty speeding fines in the post :D |

You're lucky you could speed through the Blackwall tunnel. Whenever I go through it the traffic is so heavy there is no chance of breaking the limit. |

Funny enough, that's what I was thinking as well. _________________ Triumph Tbird 1700. And now a Bonnie T100. |

There's been times in the morning where I've been able to hit 70 through the southbound tunnel :D
Northbound is a completely different story, 40 MAX. And that's where the cameras are.
Also, due to a balls-up with DNS, I've not been able to recieve email (so have changed profile settings). Could I get an update on the above SPECS I submitted? I have been able to get better accuracy on it's positioning since submission. |

AT 70? Well, it can't be DennisN's then
(I'd be worried about drinving through the Dartford tunnels at that speed - but BLACKWALL - they must have been improved a hellava lot from my days. _________________ David

No - they get a bit narrower every day as the paint builds up on the sidewalls.
The southbound is of course much better than the north because it is wider and has no sharp bends. |

Went through the tunnel again a few hours ago.
New cameras south side of the northbound & new cameras as you come out by the traffic lights.
Also further up the A12 from Lea Interchange for about a mile, northbound & southbound, theyve put in a 30mph speed limit for works theyre going to be doing until June next year. I believe they may have already changed the 50mph camera there down to 30mph. I slowed down to that speed to go through it. I certainly didnt fancy checking if it was still 50!! I think they may be putting in some more cameras there. |

these cameras aren't active yet though are they?
Going through tthe tunnel towards Isle of Dogs I noticed bags over the 2 cameras before you enter the tunnel, yet the 2 when you exit are uncovered. |
