In the past when ive visited the site and downloaded the speed cameras database, ive been able to do it on a sort of "1 off" payment (not a 12 month sub. Is this now not available.

Sadly not, hasn't been for near two years now. As is often the case, thieves saw the monthly sub option as an opportunity to acquire the database then share or re-sell with low risk.

We can identify the source subscriber of any leaked data so all they risked losing was £2 and could then re-register the next month under a different ID and re-subscribe.

Now we only have an annual account they risk losing a lot more cash and we block the PayPal accounts of any miscreants. This sadly affects the casual user but has resulted in a massive reduction in piracy and other issues.

On the flip side, a sub is currently £16.99 p.a., you can still qualify for lifetime subscriber status by reporting cameras whilst a subscriber and there are many other benefits.
