Are you sure you are comparing the same location formats? There are many different ways to display a Lat/Lon position. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Thanks for the quick reply.
Not sure what you mean by different Lat/Long formats as I assumed there was only one !!
I have located my address on TOM TOM Lat/Long and then did the same with Google Earth. I assumed that they would be the same, but appear to be 30 miles apart !!!
What format should I be using please |

Make sure that both are using the same format for the Lat/ Long it doesn't matter which you use but they have to match:
Decimal Degrees
Degrees Decimal Minutes
Degrees Minutes Seconds
To change the format used on the TomTom go to Change Preferences/ Set Units and one of the options of pages will let you select the Coordinate display.
In Google Earth click Tools/ Options and select the "3D View" tab, the Show Lat/ Long has radio buttons adjacent to each of the options - Mike |
