There are many complaints on this Forum about Tom Tom Support, some justifiable and some not so.
.
I would like instead to give them a feather to put in their hats!
Ever since I got my 940 the Fuel Prices have never shown in My Services or worked.
I, of course contacted Support and although it has taken a few weeks, several emails and even phone calls from the very nice lady Sheandera their persistence and determination to solve it has paid off.
My 940 is now fully functional and working beautifully.
.
So thank-you and well done Tom Tom Support.

.....Ken (Heywood. U.K.) | Good ole' TomTom. Would you say "a few weeks, several emails and even phone calls" is an improvement on "Works straight out of the box" "Does exactly what it says on the tin"?
My first GO (a GO300) did. So did the next one (GO700). I never even knew they had a support department until I bought a GO910 (that's a slight porky - on the first day of my ownership of the 300, I rang them up and said "This thing doesn't navigate to a postcode" and they said "Tap Navigate To, then tap Address, then tap Postcode" and I said "Gulp, Ooops!"). I know somebody with a £450 GO940 paperweight who is on the brink of asking for a Returns number!! _________________ Dennis

This just shows how happy we can be to get any support generally from the industry. A few weeks! Must have been a frustrating time to get it sorted.
Arn't we pathetically grateful when someone actually answers the 'phone at the end of the helpline! Aren't we happy when someone answers in understandable English! And, aren't we willing to post a bouquet on a Forum in grattitude. Not getting at you, Ken, as I have done it myself _________________ Gee-Pee

Yeh but No but Yeh but No but you're not a grumpy old man. I can't even remember the last time I spoke to a phone line with a real English speaking person on the end. I tell a lie - some French guy on the HTC help site last November. _________________ Dennis

I don't call waiting a few weeks good support.
You could have walked to the Netherlands head office and back in less time, and put a brick through their window |

A few weeks isn't good for any other company, but for a company such as tomtom it is fantastic, they actually got the issue fixed. All the staff involved in sorting this problem out in record time, probably had a bonus! |
