Well I think the 1.3 firmware update has done a pretty good job,the website has had a kick in the pants and the Route Planner is targetted for some time this month.
Perhaps someone does read this forum after all.

I know it is bad form to reply to your own post but anyway..................
Just had a thought, seeing SatMap,for whatever reason, seem reluctant to produce their own forum, would it be possible to put a link on the SatMap site to this forum. It may help a lot of new purchasers who do not know of this forums existence.
Any views Mr.Moderator ?

Ahh but they are going to have a forum...they said they were working on it and it will be available shortly....at least that's what I remember them saying in 2007. _________________ I like mapping, I like mapping, I like mapping and I like to map! |

We'd be more than happy to but I doubt Satmap would want it. _________________ Darren Griffin |

With respect I can't see what their objection would be.You aren't selling anything in competition with them,it doesn't cost anything to post and it would save them the bother of producing a forum of their own ( a blog would be nice though ) and it would save them having to reply to a lot of e-mails and telephone calls.

As well as the firmware upgrade and website revamp, they seem to be responding to email queries faster and I even got a 'Customer Communication' email from them on the day of the firmware release... let's hope everything stays on track and we get the route planner soon.. |

I see there is a PR/Marketing person now listed on the website ( Helen Calthrop-Owen,Richards missus presumably ) so hopefully things will be kept up to date from now on.
