I have ordered a 720, I currently have a 710 that I fix to a disk stuck on my dash. Looking at the 720 mount can anyone tell me if it can be attached to a dash disk mount.
Cheers

I assume the x20 suction mount is the same as the x30? I cannot use the supplied x30 mount on the dash on my car as the arm on the mount is shorter than the mount height on the unit.
So if my x30 had the bottom of it flat on the dash the suction mount is about 8mm above the dash as in the picture below. The only way is to either have the unit overhang the front of the dash or tilt it upwards at around 45degrees and then the plug will not fit in the bottom.

Hi
I have also been looking for a dash mount as well but without luck. Saw one, however, in Halfords, which is quite heavy and is said to stick to the dashborad even if there is lot of movement. Link here.
But I wasn't quite sure so asked the guy there if I could try it but he did not seem willing. I did not buy.
I prfer the above one though to others as, for them, one has to use adhesive plates on the dash.
Has anyone tried the above?
best

I bought one very similar from blueunplugged made by Arkon and make sure you get the one with the mounting bracket for the x30 or you will still have the issue shown in my photo above.
The standard TT supplied x40 mounting bracket works fine on these "cushions"

Arkon's mounts were reviewed back in June 2008 here. _________________ Darren Griffin |

I got the Arkon base and mount from ebay for an upcoming trip including a lot of driving in California. I've tested it out on some tight cornering roads in the UK and it hasn't moved at all.
I'm very impressed, as is my wife, as she doesn't have to put anything on her windscreen that will mark and it fits in the central cubby hole of an SLK when not in use. |

Thanks for the updates, looks like what I currently have won't work unless I get a different mount. Looks like attached to the windscreen for a little while.
