|
|
Hi
Just got my first TomTom 740 Live today, was Mio 510 user before. Fed up of the map errors etc. So after doing a lot of checking decided on the TomTom.
My question is about POI. I never bothered with them on my Mio, although it annoyed me the lack of them. I would liked to have better ones than came on the device.
I found Tomtomfree.com which sells you a set for £12. Is this a good set? Or are there better ones out there. Will the POI support the newer tomtoms?
Thanks for any help.

You may want to checkout the PGPSW pois first. |

Is this not a bit of a contradiction Try the PGPSW POIs that are really free (And probably better). Having said that, like you, I find the MIO ones pretty awful especially petrol stations which are invariably a long way out, and in built up areas can be marked as on different roads, causing a lot of driving about to find the petrol station that closed several years ago. |

I hope you are referring to TomToms built-in POIs and not ours! _________________ Darren Griffin |

As you can see, I was actually refering to the ones that came with my MioMap 3.2. Of course ours are actually pretty wonderful , accurate and what's best, about them is that they are free.
Would I knock our product or the magnificent efforts of those who 'look after them'
I don't think so |

I didn't doubt it of course but thought your reply might be misinterpreted! All clear now _________________ Darren Griffin |
