How do I backup my Nuvi 255WT then restore it if it all goes wrong

Make a folder on yor PC called "255 Backup".

Then carefully copy and paste (not Cut) the contents of the Nuvi to the folder. It'll take a while to complete as the map files are huge. Once complete burn a copy of the folder to DVD.

To restore you can just wipe out the files on the Nuvi and then copy the files back.
