I recently purchased a 530 2 months ago, that worked fine. Since updating to App 8.300 & Map v815.2003 I now suffer problems when I set volume above 85%. The speaker seems to struggle causing distorted voice and the screen flickers with voice instructions.
I've read other posts and rolled back my App & map and this then doesn't happen. I really want to run up to date maps etc. Anyone help? |

Why not have the volume below 85%, with 8.3 above this is way too loud for me? _________________ Drivelux |

At the moment there is nothing that can be done to get around this issue 100% so I would sit tight and await an update to the Navcore software to address these issues.
Some users have been swapping the TTS voice files as a way around the stuttering speech, but this won't help with the 530 as it will have been supplied with the latest standard of TTS files installed.
Wait for the update and continue to use the device running the 8,010 and v810 map for the time being - Mike |

Currently running with the volume at 85% and find it quite loud enough myself. Just didn't know if the screen brightening/dimming to the pattern of a distorted voice was a speaker problem or software issue. |

You should find the problem goes away if you use the charging lead to power the Go.
The internal battery cannot provide the instantaneous current needed once it has started to run down. |
