Holux GR 230 power/pda cables

Hi All,

I thought that this info might come in handy for someone, I have't seen a cable designed for the holux bluetooth gps (to power the gps and pda). However I have a Fortuna GPSmart also and have noticed that the cable designed for that also works with the Holux unit (charging the battery also).
The GPSmart can also run both bluetooth pda and the cable connected pda at the same time, I tried this with two HP2210's. I've not tried this with the Holux unit yet, but will keep you posted.

THIS INFO IS INTENDED AS A GUIDE, I TRIED THIS ON MY GPS AND PDA WITH OUT ANY PROBLEMS. BUT ITS UP TO THE INDIVIDUAL TO MAKE HIS/HER OWN MIND UP.

Hi,

There are official cables available for this specific need. You will need a mini USB to PS/2 style cable (http://www.holux-uk.com/Products/gr-230/adapters.htm) into which you can then plug any of the cigarette adapters designed for the GM-210 (http://www.holux-uk.com/Accessories/Cables/gm-210%20adapters.htm).

This will give you power to the GR-230 and your PDA.
