Since changing my TT520T to run on the x40 navcore last night along with V7 Kate I am very pleased with the outcome. Stutter seems to be gone which was the main thing. The unit display does not seem to flicker as it did with 8.3.

A bonus is I have the new icons which I like, but I seem to have lost the ability to play the jukebox through the FM radio in my car.

I can select the option in the speaker setup via the little radio button and I have a nice new icon on my screen with a radio on it which I can touch and set the FM Freq, but no matter what I try the music only plays through my unit speaker.

I know it's proberly a trade off because Navcore 8.2 is not for the x20's but it just seems strange I have all the buttons so it should work.

Simple answer to this. Only the 940 out of the x40 range has FM transmit. I don't know what mechanism is used to identify which x40 model the software is running on, but clearly it has assumed you do not have a 940, and thus not enabled the FM transmitter.

You need to go into preference/speaker prference and chose FM to your car radio ( second page ) to play jukebox audio books etc. on FM radio.

The only thing you can't do is play instructions through car radio
( on X 20 ) but if you choose internal speaker for instructions music cuts out on your car radio while instructions are anounced through your units Internal speaker.

I guess you are right ,, the part that through me of and made me think that he wasn't in speaker/preference and was some place else in setup is the way he said.
{ I can select the option in the speaker setup via the little radio button }

I don't have a little radio button on my speaker settings.
and I am using app 8.30 with map 8.15

May not be the proper way but I just initially click the 'quote' button to see the original post, highlight the section I want to clip, click the 'quote' button, delete the rest of the original post, remove additional tags and then reply.

You can add as many {quote} and {/quote} tags as you like around any text. (using square brackets instead of curly). Yuo can either use the "quote " button to put the tags in and cut and paste them to go where you want them, or just type them in yourself.
If you want it to say "Hoppy wrote:" instead of just "Quote" you just add
="Hoppy"
after the word "quote" and before the square bracket.

Oh, and by the way... a "radio button" doesn't refer to an icon of a radio or whatever. It's an old-fashioned computer term to describe any set of selection buttons on screen where selecting one, de-selects the others - like the old mechanical buttons to choose a station on a portable radio. Smile

Back to the FM radio subject I have mine set up to play Mp3 audio books etc etc through FM radio and instructions through internal speaker.
FM radio cuts out when instructions are being said . (works great )

Thanks for all the chat. As I said mine did work before I put Navcore 8.2 on it as a temp fix for the Stuttering Kate.

I guess I'll just have to do without until TT fix Navecore 8.3. I won't hold my breath though

Hoppy, if your sig is upto date just put the Navcore 8,010 back on the 520 and carry on as you were, unless you have the latest v815 maps there is no point in running Navcore 8,300 on the unit.

Your sig mentions v805 mapping which will work very well with the version 8,010 Navcore release - no stuttering, no screen refresh issues and the FM Tx will still work - Mike
