|
|
Turned on my Go 720 this morning and there was a message on the screen saying something like there may be a free map waiting for me and to connect to Home.
I have now connected it to Home but all I'm offered is the chargeable upgrade, anyone else had this message before, first time I have ever seen it. |

Is this what you saw on the device:
I am not too sure whether the emphasis is on "Free" or "Probably" - if you don't have the upgrade package it is going to be a chargeable upgrade, why it says free is a mystery - Mike |

I got the message too. I belong to map update and I still havnt had my upgrade either "free" or "probably".
It is still a mystery why they sent it though.

They don't send the message to the device it is a built in screen that is triggered by the date AFAIK - Mike |

I understand they did not send it as such, but they must have activated it during a hidden download some how.
I wonder if its within 8.300 and, as you say Mike, activated each quarter. That still dos'nt answer the free bit as ultimately you have paid through the update scheme.
Can we determine if all those who received it are on 8.300?

Your not alone in that regard Technik.
I had a thought regarding this though, what to stop them adding the maps we are entitled, through the scheme, to our accounts. I, as i am sure others in this situation, have provided proof, or they would not have escalated our problems to 2nd line support.
