I wonder if anyone has any advice, I have an issue with tomtom lodged for the last week as my new tomtom one v4 hasn't come with the latest map. When I select latest map guarantee it tells me that I have the latest map but when I try to update normally with the quarterly updates it offers me the newest map. I just wonder if any clever soul there has a fix for this as I'm not sure tomtom will come up with one - it's been a week now.
Secondly I have just bought the new USB TMC receiver - completely hopeless as far as I can see, doesn't seem to pick up a FM channel apart form once very briefly today. Are there similarly any smart fixes to make this work?
Thanks in anticipation guys. |

What map have you got installed on the device? tap the sat strength meter then the version box to display the information about the software version and map issue number 710, 715 720 or 725 or something else?
As for RDS-TMC make sure the aerial wire is routed at least 2" away from the A pillars of the vehicle, I find running up to the top of the screen then along is better than just across the dash. That said reception can still be problematic depending upon where you live - Mike |

I have my "old type" RDS-Tmc aerial routed up the middle of the screen, then along the top to the N/S... I always get a signal pretty well immediately.

My RDS only worked after updating firmware to 8.010, 7.480/7.481 screwed it signal strength wise. I do realise that should'nt affect it but that was my experience.
