To add to the question above, is there a way of having the V8.3 software but have the V8.2 icons as I downloaded the cab file and love the new look icons. I have a 730T.
Thanks
Doug

I fail to see the problem, the icons are the same as they were before they certainly don't look like the icons you get with the x40 range. And what issues with voices are you meaning? If you mean the spoken alert voice packs for the speed camera database then they work fine - Mike |

Sorry Mike, two questions in this thread. Mine was is there a way of having the 8.3 software but pinch the "new look" icons from the 8.2 cab file? I have no issues i.e. voices that don't work, with the 8.2 software on my 730T, I just like the new look, cleaner icons. Trying to get the best of both software issues!

Doug, What I think you are asking for is the icons from the x40 devices being displayed on the new 8,3 software release for the x20/ x30 units - is this correct? - Mike |

Thanks Mike, let you know how I get on. I have a backup of both 8.2 and 8.0 anyway so experimentation is good!!

Doug, let us know how you get on with this, the other chap that is trying it at the moment has reported back that they work with no Clear Route issue like I have seen on my 930, so perhaps I need to clear the extra files and other rubbish from my device.
I will have a go at sorting out the Change Peferences text later to get the full menu ported to the new icons - Mike |

Hi Mike,
Well! Extracted with Winrar and put in root of TT drive in folder. Booted up and it got as far as the 1 of 4 screen with three of the icons very ragged and pixulated and froze. Had to reset and this time it went as far as "this device belongs to" and froze again. Had to reset, remove SDKRegistry folder and put V8.2 back on. All back the way it was.
Any ideas?
Doug

Same result as my 930 then, strange how it works on the x20 units though - Mike |

Thanks for trying anyway, appreciated. I will stick with V8.2 as I don't want to spend £60 yet for a new map.
