OK I am after a little advice here!!!

I have set my heart on the Garmin Oregon 300 Sat Nav, as I want to take my geocaching up a level, as I am really getting in to it.

The question I have is what is the best thing to do about the maps??? Should I buy the Topo UK and the City Nav for the UK. I assume this will be adequate??

I currently have a Satmap 10 but it just isn't up to serious geocaching (although I do like using the 1:50000 UK map).

What I really like about the Garmin is the ability to get directions to a site, and the ability touse paperless caching. Both of which the satmap can't do.

Can I have some advice on this from the people that know please? Any advice positive or negative please!!!

GARMIN are releasing some OSGB mapping for the Oregon/Colorado units next month - but they will only cover National Parks and National Trails initially.

I do a bit of geocaching with my Colorado. I have Topo UK on it - it's OK - but I do take OS maps of the area if I have them. I can (and do) plot the geocache positions onto a MemoryMap print out.

I was looking for a friend at the Oregon 400T. Do you know what the difference is between the TOPO GB and the European Topo map that comes with the 400T? There is only about £30 difference between 300 and 400T.

Why can't it? It's a very capable device, more than enough, indeed perhaps overkill, for Geocaching.
