*Newboy on the block*
I have recently subscribed to the SC database and have one question. When using the Garmin POI Uploader, do I mark the overwrite or remove icon when installing the new database over the older one? Thanks in advance. |

Not sure what you mean. There was an option in old versions of POILoader to delete all the POIs on the unit but i don't remember anything about Delete or Overwrite. If this is the case i would get the latest version of POILoader which is 2.5.3 from here
The new version won't ask if you wish to delete anything as POILoader automatically deletes all Custom POIs every time before uploading the new ones. This is why you need to maintain a folder on your PC with all your POIs in and upload them all again each time. |

I am using V2.5.3.0 which shows that overwrite or delete message. I'll get a screen shot a bit later and post the link to it on here, thanks. |

Just realised i still have 2.5.2 - Garmin have a habit of not listing all fixes and improvements on their website and the latest version didn't list anything that applied to me so i didn't upgrade until now. I'll test in a minute but if you want to clear the POIs select Remove. If you are updating choose Overwrite.
Edit: It actually states
Quote: | Please choose whether you would like to override the custom POI's on your device with the new ones or if you would like to remove all custom POI's from your device.
- Install new custom POIs onto your device.
- Remove all previously installed custo POI's from your device. |
Clearly if you ware updating the POIs and Speed Cameras choose Install. The Remove option is there in case you wish to remove the POIs without installing new ones. |

Thanks for clearing that up! I wasn't sure that if I installed the new SC database that the old ones wouldn't be removed etc. |

POILoader always removes ALL Custom POIs before installing new ones. |
