Today I updated my camera database using the PWGPS speed zoned data files but leaving the bmp files on my TT730T.
I deleted the original data files then copied the new data files to my TT. I was under the (Probably wrong) impression that by doing this my previously set up distances and warning would not be changed. something didn't work
On checking my TT POI's it seems I have listed the proper camera/redlight etc files with the proper camera/redlight etc icons. plus it shows the following versions each with a red square 'Copy of PWGPS uk gatso 50' and all other speeds. Plus Copy (2) of PWGPS uk gatso 50 and all other speeds. Plus Copy (3) of PWGPS uk Gatso 50 and all other speeds, also triplicates of the other data files as well I used Gatso 50 as an example, 20/30/40/60/70 are also shown as are triplicates of redlight and all the other zoned files.
Guess I have screwed it somewhere Any suggestions as to the easiest way to get the right data files & BMP's without having to re enter all my distances and warnings again? It took ages to do first time.

Good guess!!
But maybe all is not lost. First, remember, you can download the database any number of times. So you can start all over again.
Using Windows Explorer, I suggest the following...
View the files by type. This will show you all the OV2 files together and you can delete every one of them.
Because you didn't mention triplicates of BMP files, I'm assuming you have got only one BMP per camera type.
Then download the database again. After you've unzipped it, again sort them by type and then copy and paste ONLY the OV2 files.
That should show you with a matching pair BMP and OV2 files for each camera type.
Now try running a demo route past a camera you know exists. If you're fortunate, your MapSettings.cfg file will retain its settings and the camera warnings and displays will come up without you having to do them again. _________________ Dennis
