Hi guys I have just connected my tom tom one to my comp to update it(It was in the box for 12 months as I use the works sat nav) However I seem to have wiped the maps of and I dont have a back up on the comp as I installed the latest edition of Tom Tom home at the same time. Is there anything I can do to retrieve the situation or am I up the creek without the proverbial paddle?........Thanx in anticipation

Welcome to the forum, connect the device to the PC and if TomTom Home starts up simply shut it down, open Windows Explorer and look for the drive letter associated with the TomTom, click it to open the drive and reveal the contents.
Can you see any folders/ files listed, and is there one with a name of Great_Britain or UK&ROI or Western Europe? - Mike

If you have no backup at all of the map then the only thing you can do is contact TomTom Support on 0845 161 0009 and explain what you have done, I doubt they will be able to help without this costing you the price of a new map, but unless you ask you will never know - Mike
