I am about to buy an iPAQ 2210 with TomTom Nav 3 and a Bluetooth GPS. The main reason for choosing Bluetooth insead of fixed wire is that I am hoping all of the kit will work when I go out on my motorbike as well as my car.

Looking at various web sites that do bundled deals and reading some reviews, I have narrowed my choice down to a Fortuna or TomTom GPS receiver, but am not sure which to get.

Does anyone have any opinions / advice / preferences as to which of these two would give me the best performance?

Many thanks

You may get better battery life out of the Fortuna... The TomTom looks nicer but you'll be tugging it away anyhow, and it wasn't exactly a divine example of stability in the past. Check our comparison database to see if there are other criteria that may influence your decision.

Hi Simon,

I use an HP2210, Fortuna Clip-on and TomTom Navigator 2.0 and it works really well. I also use the Ipaq and Clip-on on my mountain bike with the MemoryMap software which is absolutely fantastic - beats sticking a OS landranger map down your shorts!! Anyway I thought you mitght be interested in how its mounted on my bike, as this might be good for your motorbike. I use the RAM mounting system. As they say a picture paints a thousand words ...
