A heads up (and a hope I haven't got it wrong....)
Yesterday whilst driving along the M4 between Newbury and Hungerford, they appeared to be installing some new Specs units (3 in each direction). They don't appear in the database yet and there were no speed restrictions, but I guess some roadworks are coming.

Have you reported them as new? If you don't then someone else may get a free membership instead of yourself. _________________ Tomtom GO 1005 LIVE

Done the Westbound as I had the positions (as long as I managed to get them correctly on my satnav) but not the Eastern ones as I don't have accurate locations for those. |

Ok well you only need 1 fixed one for the lifetime sub. As long as its pretty accurate, then you will get the credit, but as a verifier myself, we all appreciate how difficult it is to get an accurate location when driving.
It`ll get looked at as and when one of us are nearby. Not me tho, im based too far north! _________________ Tomtom GO 1005 LIVE

I've submitted loads of new and changes so luckily am well aware of lifetime offer procedures cheers. The post was more of a heads up for those heading that way before they make it onto the database.
TBH I would be surprised if I am the first reporter of these and if I am, and get the free sub, then I will be grateful. |

Typically I haven't been down there again recently but I have noticed camera 58747 has appeared today. This is the first camera East bound and has a set speed of 50, so I guess the roadworks have started. The other Easterly cameras are not showing on my submit map yet. |

Six, including 58747, verified today, three in each direction (well, yesterday as it's gone midnight now). Also three inaccurate ones rejected. That was my third attempt at verifying them, by the way. First time they came up without warning, second time my TomTom GO stopped going. But I nailed them this time! _________________ Dennis

If they were all westbound ones then they were probably mine as it was the first time I used McGuider to record the locations. Would be just my luck for it to give me incorrect co-ordinates .
Keep up the good work verifying Dennis. |

If you can see 58747 (which is eastbound) as a coloured square, it was your report (see the notes about what you can see on the submission map). Can't remember, but I think my 3 rejections were eastbound. There were loads of submissions, I understand, so I'd guess there were several different first submitters, not just you. If you got one and other people got others, it could have been by mere seconds apart. _________________ Dennis

58747 is showing as a verified specs (and is the only eastbound one showing for me). I can see 3 couloured squares (well square and cross in the middle to be more accurate) in the location of the 3 westbound ones I submitted. The also have pSPECS reference numbers associated with them in the text above the map. TBH these are the first 'fixed' mobile sites I have submitted and had the squares appear so I am interested to watch how things progress over time on the map for me - so I know what to expect in the future. If I am first to submit then that is just a bonus. |

MaFt has been busy (all 6 cameras are now listed) and 2 of the coloured square appear to have changed into Specs icons. The 3rd hasn't but a camera has appeared nearby. I am guessing therefore that I was accurate with 2 of them but not with the middle one for some reason. |
