Can you give a few details? (and even a few full stops!)
Where are you trying to download from?
At what stage does it go wrong?
What error messages are you seeing, if any?
Without details like that, we're guessing in the dark.... |

Try running it with your firewall disabled for a short time, if it works OK like this then the issue is with your firewall.
FWIW I have just downloaded and installed Home 2,4 to my Vista PC and it is working fine with a mates One Third edition which he wants updating - Mike |

2.4 seems to work fine on my Vista PC except if I leave the SD card in when trying to do up dates it keeps saying Critical error. If I remove the card then I can update my TT520 no problems. Only started this with 2.4 Home. _________________ TomTom Go 950 Live.

Vista comes in so many flavours with significant differences under the skin that it's hard to nail down issues sometimes. Everyone gets something different.
For me with Home 2.4, any attempt to go back in the menus caused a crash in Home and Vista shut the app down. I had to add it to the exclusions under Data Execution Prevention which is a bit dodgy but the only way it would run.
And as with you, everytime I plug it in it asks me if I want to scan and fix drives x 2 which is just plain irritating. Your initial problem sounds more to do with connections etc as Mike said. However, just giving you the heads up for the next level of Vista fun!
When Vista works, it's a nice place to be. When it doesn't it's like a chinese water torture. _________________ Tom Tom GO 720
