Soon after CP7 was launched there were many reports, including screenshots, of being routed off motorways and immediately back on at junctions. I've not seen any comments recently - has this bug been fixed?

Nope have not heard a word on this.. I have a suspicion that it won't be for some reason. When this bug came out in CP6 they fixed it rather fast.. |

I would expect this to be due to some map data oddity (for some reason it thinks you cannot go under/over the junction on the motorway itself so has to route you around the block. If so then it will require a new map to fix this and I haven't heard of any new maps for CP.
I remember a similar thing in the past where you got navigated onto a motorway for 1 junction and then back again to miss a section of the junction itself where similar routing issues occured - effectively blocking the route around the junction. |

i've never had this on any motorways near me so it may be an error in the mapping? does it do it on all junctions or just 1 in particular?

Yes, I found a problem with CP6 France maps...it was impossible to leave and/or enter motorways at certain junctions. This caused some crazy routing. Alk promised me an update, but it was about 8 months before some replacement CDs arrived. Some, but not all, of the problems were fixed. I lost confidence in CP after that

No sign of this on the M27 between J's 2 and 9 with my CP7. However the routing across the New Forest is pretty poor, it appears determined to route you onto the B roads despite considerable extra distance. (Even Nokia Maps was better at that...) |
