Do you go onto the EU mainland or do you stay in the UK & Ireland?
If you go onto the EU mainland then see if you can still get a NEW 720, then use the LMG to upgrade, saving yourself some more £££!
Otherwise, if you can't get a 720 get a 730.
If you stay in the UK & Ireland, then a 520 or 530 would probably be the best option & again use the LMG to update. |

If the above is correct then the newly announced TomTom x40 range might be worth waiting for as that does use an active mount.
All the other TomTom products have the power connector on the base of the device requiring you to plug it in prior to placing it in the holder, unless you purchase a third party active powered mount as they are available - Mike |

As you already have the hardware, why not just update your map? If you don't need the extras why pay for them. |
