Just had my street pilot stolen in Spain so got a 250w with UK and Europe on it.
I know it's not one of the best but it will do me. :-)
Tow questions please:
However how do i get more POI's into the uk section because I can't even find a local B&Q!!!
Pluse can I take out ALL the languages I don't ever want to use to get more memory on the built in memory.
Thanks _________________ BaZa ® |

Hi and welcome.
You can download more POIs from here
Unzip the files and upload them to the unit using POILoader from here
As for the languages you can try deleting the files but i suspect they only take up minimal space.
Might be best to take a complete backup of the unit first. |

Thanks for your time and answers....
I have downloaded all the poi's I want thanks and supposedly uploaded them to my nuvi250W as it said upload completed.
But they seem to have appeared into the EXTRAS section (Custom POIs)
in the scroll down and not into the main menu ie Food Hotels etc.
Can I get them in there please???
BTW
Taking out all the other languages has saved 35.7MB to the internal memory.
Thanks again.... _________________ BaZa ® |

I'm afraid that's how it works. The POIs you install go into the Custom POI section and not with the main items. I prefer it that way because it means the highly inaccurate Garmin POIs aren't mixed in with the more up to date ones from here. |
