One Slow Start Up so far...
Also as we now can't downgrade from 4.xx to 3.xx firmware (nice touch Garmin) without knackering the BlueTooth, would a pre-4.xx backup not work? I took a backup of my unit on day 1 whilst it was still on 2.60. Surely (in theory) i could wipe the Nuvi "disk", copy my backup to the unit and then upgrade to the 3.xx of my choice??
I don't have the time to do it myself and I'm OK-ish with the 4.10 Firmware (Voice lag has caught me out a couple of times........ ) |

Couple of problems I have experienced since updationg to 4.10.
Occasionally hangs on the 'Loading Maps' screen at bootup. If connected to an external power supply, switching it off and straight back on again usually sorts it.
Also, I usually have the voice turned off for local journies. For a recent Euro trip, I switched the voice on to give advance warning of when a turn was coming up. The voice worked fine but what I did notice is that each time I switch the unit off, it forgets that I was using voice directions, and I have to turn voice directions back on each time I turn the unit on. |
