Louvre Hotels made the POI of Campanile®, Première Classe ®, Kyriad ® and Kyriad Prestige ® hotels, available for free downloading.
The POI is available on the format Tom Tom ®, Garmin ®, Mio ®, Medion ®, Google earth ( .kml ) ®, GPX ® and CSV ®.

Download the complete coordinates of every Louvre Hotels® Group hotels in Europe.

Thanks, without this I would never have known the Doncaster Campanile had been relocated to a farmers field half a mile from where it was last week. Very Happy

Seriously, thanks for the POIs but there may be the odd inaccuracy.

It's great to know that companies reconise that people use SatNav to navigate and that by providing POI files they help their customers.

May I ask how you obtained the co-ordinates of each of your sites as accuracy is important. If your POI files are not accurate then it will reflect extremely badly on your company. I hope that you used a GPS system or at least Google maps and not post codes to get the longitude and latitude of each hotel.

Have you considered letting PocketGPSWorld host your data. This will ensure that if people do find any errors then they will report it back to PocketGPSWorld for correction.

Funnily enough I loaded the official Campanile POI set for my recent journey through France as we were staying at Campanile's on the route down to the South and back.

Although they were very useful none of the four we stayed at were accurate. Good enough to get us close and luckily Campanile's are well signposted but they were all 'off' by varying degrees with one a good half a mile out!

LouvreHotels, would you consider allowing us to host a copy of your data? We could then ensure the accuracy is improved and provide you with the corrected data?

I the case of Doncaster, the actual location is point A, the given POI is the red dot and point B is the closest accessible by car.

If someone left a concert at the "Dome" and drove to the POI, they would be seriously upset by the time they eventually got to the front desk, just a few metres walk from the start point. Its only half a mile, but this area can be gridlocked when the concerts or horse racing end.

In this instance the post code DN4 7PD is 100% accurate yielding the co-ordinates 53.514223, -1.096691.

LouvreHotels, as demonstrated hosting the POI files on PGPSW has the advantage of subscribers updating the accuracy of such data. Laughing
