Installed software...plugged in GPS mouse and it just sits there flashing (meaning it hasn't got a lock)

Casio EM500 Pocket PC
TomTom 3
Haicom 204s

Are there any simple test programs....I can't be sure that the PPC is talking to the mouse OK.
Also, will it the mouse lock on if it is not talking to the PPC?

I need ideas....I am getting really frustrated.

Thanks,

Ben.

Ben,

I don't have the same software and hardware as you, so others will be better placed to reply specifically.

However, to get the PPC to talk to the mouse (I take it that it is BT) you need to establish a partnership. It doesn't do this itself. You have to go into Bluetooth Manager, then Connect. Choose other device and establish the partnership. This should all be in your manual.

If you have done all this and it still doesn't work, then someone with the same stuff as you should have some ideas.

Sorry - as I said unfamiliar with your hardware.

Until someone else replies, another thing to consider is that Tom Tom will need to know which com port and baud rate the GPS is using. In Copilot, there is an autoscan option or you can fill this in manually. Worth a look in options menus to see if there is something you could change.
