Navman icn 520 & 320

Hello

Can maps from a Navman icn520 work on a Navman icn320? my brother over in oz is wanting to come here(New Zealand) for a holiday and do a bit of driving around the south island, hes got the icn320,i got 520

Before i posted this, did a little bit of searching, notice i could put TomTom software on my 520....i didn't look all the way into it, but in general is it easy to do and able to recover if i stuff up?

I believe the maps are the same between the 520 and 320. (if you have the same version number), you cannot move them between devices without proper registration keys.

As for putting Tomtom (or any other CE based software) on you 520 - it can be done. There plenty of advice on this and the "Navam Unlocked" (Use Google search) web pages.

Unless you are in it for fun, the time and hassle is probably not worth it, and you would still need to buy a Tomtom software license. Might as well buy a Tomtom unit second hand.
