|
|
i have just acquired a used htc tyn2 with navigator 6 installed. I installed the camera database without a hitch. I then connected the htc to my wifi internet connection without a hitch. I switched the htc off and left it to charge up overnight. This morning the wlan connection will not work and the htc is constantly trying to load up Navigator 6. Can anyone help please? |

Have you tried resetting the device with the stylus, you won't loose any data and it is something you get used to doing with a PDA on a regular basis to be honest - Mike |

i have tried a soft reset many times to no avail. I think i need to do a hard reset but the instruction manual gives harsh warnings about doing that. The htc will not turn off at this moment |

If you hard reset the device it will be returned to "as new" assuming the original owner hasn't flashed the device with a different ROM. Eitherway doing this will wipe out all data from the unit, your settings, contacts and any programs will all go - although this should cure the problem unless the hardware has developed a fault - Mike |

the problem has just resolved itself. I connected the htc to this laptop while replying to your post. I also thought i might try another soft reset. The htc started ringing with a notification about an alarm setting. I dealt with that request and immediately tom tom 6 opened up with a gps connection indoors (even). I next completed the wlan connection and dialed into the internet. I'm just grateful. Thanks for your help as it was a bit like robert bruce and his spider. |
