Speed settings.

Hi everyone. After advice from this column, I bought a 720 which is very good. Easy to use, good speaker. In fact it has features I probably will never use. My problem is on routing. My previous system was a Tom Tom set up on an HP5550 with cradle and aerial and was a bit messy with wires everywhere. The one thing it did, though, that I cannot get the 720 to do, is set my own speed for different roads. You may think this is not a problem but becuase I drive a large van it is. My old system I could set side streets and destination roads at a very low speed, say 5mph, and it virtually ignored them for route purposes. The 720 takes them into account and tries to send me down little side streets and over goat tracks (I work on the continent so this is no lie).

Is there a way I can get the 720 to do the same. I have tried the obvious ones like 'shortest / fastest' etc but no good.

I take it you were using TTN 3 then on the PDA as the speed limit settings have not been in the PDA version of software since the demise of TT3, the PNA doesn't let you adjust this at all.
The only option there is within Planning is to choose "Limited Speed" then set your maximum vehicle speed, this is of no use though to avoid the smaller roads - Mike
