No, that's just the way it works.
ALSO, and probably more importantly, all that gets sent to the TomTom from Tyre is a list of waypoints, NOT the route between them.
If you get a result you like in Tyre/Google, it is not necessarily the same route as the TomTom will then calculate between each waypoint.
To stop that happening you may need to add extra waypoints along the Google route, to force the TT to go that way. |

Hi rugrat2
I have just returned from a holiday in France and Belgium visiting World War 1 battle fields. Weeks before leaving home I had made Itineraries (using Tyre/Google Maps) and it all went like clockwork. Some of the Itineraries were quite complex but no problems arose.
I have been using Tyre for quite sometime and I think it’s the greatest thing since sliced bread. _________________ Tomtom Go 720.

Cheers Andy.............
Trevor maybe not quite as good as sliced bread!!!! I still cant drag the route about like you can in google maps, and the annoying thing is it uses google maps to make your route.. _________________ Neil.......ttgo..Mio p550...2.8 lwb exeed pajero. where cant I go.. |

Hi rugrat2
Before I first tried Tyre, like you I used Google Maps. As it had been a long while since I last used Google Maps to make an Itinerary I have just had a go again to see how G/maps compares with Tyre. I must admit that being able to drag a waypoint about on G/maps is extremely handy and offers little scope for improvement. However, the same itinerary can be achieved on Tyre with just clicks of the mouse and as I have been using Tyre for sometime I have got into the swing of things and find it excellent.
I suppose we are all different in our preferences. _________________ Tomtom Go 720.
