Just got back from Guernsey, TT One V2 worked a treat but every time I set up a route it insisted on advising me to drive on the right....... Not a good plan! Am I missing something here?

You can disable that feature in 'safety preferences' |

Thanks for that, now disabled
But why did it tell me to drive on the right when they drive on the left as in UK.

I would feed that one back to TomTom support, it must be a mapping error that is causing it to assume it is in France - Mike |

It's the Garlic Detector that switches it automatically! |

This post suggests that the problem has been fixed in the latest tomtom software. I don't know if that software is available for a TT One V2 yet. |

I can confirm that we are no longer told to drive on the right when using Version 8. Oddly though, although version 7's display guided you the wrong way round the roundabouts, the verbal instructions were correct, eg "take the first exit when turning left", while the display showed you going round the wrong way and taking the 3rd exit.
Also be aware that the mapping in Guernsey is incomplete. All roads seem to be there but no one-way streets etc. I have altered many of them using Mapshare, but many users won't actually get those.
But having Guernsey mapping at all is a huge bonus after all the earlier maps, particularly for visitors as our directional signing is abysmal at best and non-existing at worst. Just make sure you keep watching for the no-entries etc.
rogermartin, Hope you enjoyed your visit.
Edited because I had forgotten about the wrong roundabout displays _________________ TT Go Essential |
