|
|
Hello, I have integrated the TomTom Navigator in my own software application by using the SDK. As well as a lot of features, SDK let you to send external GPS positions - in NMEA or Sirf protocol- by calling internal TomTom functions. In order to avoid possible memory problems (hard reset, cold start, backup memory failure...) I have installed the TOM TOM navigator 2.02 on a Secure Digital card (SD)
It works properly, but when A HARD RESET IS DONE the TomTom Navigator only works if I execute the Tom Tom Navigator directly, but if I invoke, from my application, the call BringNavigatorToForeground() using the SDK of TomTom Navigator it doesn't work (and the dll of the SDK is in the correct place).
Anybody knows what I am talking about? Who could help me? Thank you in advance.
P.D.: I have a GPS receiver which send its positions via WIFI to my own application and, from my application, via SDK, I send the GPS positions to TomTomNavigator. |

I was under the impression that the navigator link control had to be installed in main memory. Certainly some of our users who have tried to install on SD cards etc. have found problems which go away when it goes into main memory. |

I have noticed that when a hard reset is produced, the TomTom navigators works properly from the SD if you execute it directly. However, if you try to invoke TomTom Navigator from your own application (using the SDK) it doesn't works. It seems that TomTom Navigator is looking for something in the windows register that has gone when the hard reset happens. |
