Zoom in Display

I have recently upgraded from a TTG 510 to the TTG 730 and am finding it less easy to read the display. For some reason the map on the 720 appears to be on a lower level of "zoom" than the 510.

Pressing the zoom button at the top of the screen increases the magnification enough to be comfortable but it quickly reverts back to the previous setting. I therefore wondered whether there was any software or other fix that would retain the zoom setting.

Go to change Preferences/ Automatic Zooming and disable it, then you will have full control of what the device does - Mike

I hadn't realised that with zooming off it would retain a manual setting - so that's a great help and may be a partial solution.

I suppose what I was really hoping for was to be able to use the zooming feature (which can be useful at junctions) but have it default back to a slightly higher level of zoom that the default.

If when the zoom is off it is able to retain the magnification setting there must be some sort of configuration file somewhere - whether it can be accessed and modified manually is, I suppose, another matter.
