Hi and welcome.
First of all when does that message occur?
If downloading whilst on AOL i would use Internet Explorer. Log in and then complete the download. |

It happens when I click on the ovp file to open it, it does the same for the bmp file. the other files I can open.
Thanks for replying by the way, I'd initially thought, oh well, there goes twenty quid down the drain! |

No, it'll be £20 well spent. Support here is 1st class...
OVP file?
Do you mean ov2 file?
Have you actually downloaded the files yet? If you have then other than extracting the files from the ZIP file there should be no reason to click on any of the files as they just contain data in most cases.
Can you tell us which unit you are trying to load the database to? If the files are ov2 then i suspect you have a TomTom.
There are full instructions on this page for all supported units.
Any problems please come back and someone will help but you must give us more information on what you have done, what you are trying to do and where things go wrong. |

Yes I meant ov2. I'll give it another go. Apologies for lack of info, My device is TTgo 510. I've downloaded database and the problems are when trying to open downloaded zip files to send across to TT. |

If you are using Windows XP you should be able to right click the files and choose extract... then follow the instructions.
If not XP, let us know what you are using and we'll help you open the ZIP files.... |

I'm using Vista, Spybot, AVG a/v, Windows firewall and Aol 9.1.
I still cant get the files to open. I'll have to give up for now as work comes first! Thanks for the support though. I'm sure we'll sort this eventually and hopefully help other aol users. |

Ok, I now realise what I was doing wrong by trying to open the files instead of highlighting them all and copy and paste into device. Easy when you know how eh chaps! Thanks to MaFt and PaulB, you were right, the support here is Excellent! Also 'grabbed' some of your free POI's. Job's a good 'un. One more thing, does anyone know how to remove the Talex overlay from my device? Thanks again guys. |

I was going to reply saying "Then don't use AOL" but you've got sorted.
I hate AOL. Looks like Fisher Price Internet. But each to thier own I suppose. ;) _________________ Paul
