I wonder if anyone bought one of the 4.3 inch screen sat navs that were on e-bay about 2/3 months ago?. (e.book, music files and bluetooth all included) Mine never gave me speed camera alerts, so I'm wondering if there's a download somewhere to give me these. I've contacted the seller but not a lot of help there. THere is no manufacturer's name on the thing, but it uses a sd card with route 66 on it. I'm a computer novice so keep it as simple as possible please!!!! Many thanks in advance. |

What version of Route 66 is running on the device? you should be able to find that information from the settings or preferences screen - Mike |

Thanks for quick reply Mike, I see on start-up."Route 66 Navigate, .Net, Version 7.0.2992, Copyright 1993-2006."
Is this the required info? |

You can use the pocketgpsworld speed camera database, you need to subscribe then go to the download page, scroll down to the table of supported devices and click the Route 66 help/ installation guide. All the details you need should be on that page, if you are at all unsure please ask again - Welcome to the forum - Mike |

Have a read through This which details how to install the cameras to the Route 66 software.
The hardware isn't really anything to do with it, the software is the key which being Route 66 version 7 supports custom POI files and spoken alerts - Mike |
