|
|
Hi,
I have a Streetpilot i3.
I have downloaded the free POI's zip file. When I use the garmin POI loader, I select the zip folder frommy documents and it says the file doesnt have a csv ext. I have tried several times and am definately downloading the csv option rather than tom tom.
If I double click on the zip folder in my documents I get a message saying that the file is invalid.
Where am I going wrong!
Thanks. |

Have you extracted the contents of the .zip folder first? What OS do you use on your PC? _________________ Darren Griffin |

Hi,
I have not extracted the files - I take it this is not simply done by doubleclicking on the file?
I am using Vista home basic.
Thanks. |

I have now tried right click - extract - I get an error message saying that I must copy files to the folder before I can extract them.
The file I'm downloading from here is 1,920kb.
Any ideas?
Thanks. |

Sounds like you have downlaoded a lot. I would try again and only download a few POIs at first. Then right click the file and you should have an option to Extract the the files.. |

Thanks for the replies so far.
I tried only downloading 1 POI (Accomadation). When I right click and select "Extract" I get the error message:
Cannot complete the compressed (zipped) folders Extraction Wizard, the compressed (zipped) folder is empty, before you can extract files, you must copy files to the compressd (zipped) folder.
Anything else I can try?
Thanks. |

Delete the file and re-downlaod. This time try the Show Link option. |
