I intend to buy a GPS sat nav unit, apart from travelling by car, I'll also use it for biking and walking - so will be off track.
Is there an Ordnance Survey map software for the UK I can download to a GPS / Pocket PC unit that will show me where I am on the map? Alternatively anything that details the local land will do (so if I am in a forest - it will detail the forest etc etc).
Thanks!

For PDA and PC based applications have a look at MemoryMap or Quo, there are others and it depends upon what functionality you need from the devices - Quo offers a nice cheap way to start out with digital mapping, it is not as loaded with features as the likes of MM but it does show your position on an OS map, routes can also be uploaded to the PDA - MM offers far greater capabilty on a PDA and PC - do you have a PDA with GPS? - Mike |

Thanks for the reply. That's useful, thanks.
I'm currently in the process of deciding which PDA to buy. I'm completely lost! I want a PDA with GPS and WiFi. One option is to buy a HP iPAQ 214 PDA then buy a separate GPS receiver. (this would cost in total about £240 I think)
Any you could recommend which fit the bill would be appreciated. |

Have a look at the Asus a696 with wifi at about £185, pretty good value and spec, will also take upto 16gb memory card. _________________ Moto G5s Plus, Sygic 17.4.8 |
