|

Hi
I have just got a 520 and, for the moment, am using the TT speed camera alerts. The normal spoken directions are fine but the volume of the camera alerts is too low. I can't figure out any way to increase it. Anyone got any ideas?
Thanks _________________ Brian Abbott

What method are you using to warn when the camera is in range?
If you can use a computer voice and the option to read out a warning based upon what you have typed in the volume should be the same for the warnings and the navigation voice, that said I am not too sure what options you get for setting warnings up with the TomTom database as I only really use the POI sets from this site which are considerably more comprehensive and accurate - Mike |

...and if you are using one of the built-in sound effects you can replace it with a sound file you can add yourself. You put it in the "sounds" folder... it can be a .wav or .ogg sound file at 11,050Hz sample rate.
TomTom 'Home' also offers some sound for download, but beware as some are corrupted or even in the wrong format! |

The volume on my warnings is the same as the volume on directions. I use the camera data base from this site on all 3 of my TTs. I wouldn't bother with TT's data base, its a joke. How they have the cheek to charge for it is beyond me. Its not fit for purpose. _________________ GO 750 LIVE v9.430 - v8.753612 EU map

Yeah, I'm planning to get the PGPS one, but have been using the TT one for now. Using the standard 'Bell' alerts. _________________ Brian Abbott
